Well As I said I am skiny and tall and have a brown complexion and black hair. I always like to wear the clothes that are in vouge. But clothers just never look good on me. So what clothes should I buy. What I mean is what color what style and stuff like that.

Whatever you do...Don't tuck things in. It accentuates a thin waist. Layering is key. If you're into it, a great pair of jeans that are LONG ENOUGH!! look great, and you should wear a t-shirt under a button-up shirt (solid, not stripes) untucked under a hot corduroy blazer (you know, the slouchy Gap/J-crew kind). Let the bottom of the button-up show from under the jacket. The objective is to give you a little more "heft" with the layers, and to give the illusion of enlongating your upper torso/shortening your legs. If this is too stuffy a look for you, still keep the principle in mind: layer, and lower the waist. It will make you appear thicker and shorter, and therefore more in proportion. :)

Since you say you're skinny, I would suggest wearing layers to make you look more filled-out. For example, wear a button-down shirt with a structured jacket on top with wide leg jeans (wide leg does not mean baggy, just means the width is the same all the way down). Whatever you do, don't wear anything really tight or form-fitting.

Wear tailored jackets in dark colors, like suedes or leathers. Go for the layered look, like wear a plaid shirt or a shirt with a cool design underneath, use a medium width belt to define your waist, wear jeans and nice black or brown shoes that give more shape to your "shape." I agree with miss demanda about layering up the clothes. Don't wear form fitting clothes. I don't agree with the plaid that someone said. Also if you go into a good enough store some people that work can help you out more with the colors and styles.
