I have medium legth curly hair and im wondering.........?

its black and red

and im wondering

if anyone has any ideas to an emo style

for it, I cant cut it to short though.

I need a new look so please help

I have medium legth curly hair and im wondering.........?

like the first person said, get the sweepy side bangs and try to straighten your hair and get ALOT of choppy layers. The color you have now is PERFECT for the emo hair

I have medium legth curly hair and im wondering.........?

Try to cut or style it so that you have dramatic bangs over one eye! That's totally emo and mysterious! Good luck! I have curly hair, too! Yay for curls!

Should I get an Audrey Kitching haircut?

I want that style cut but I'm thinking a teal colour instead of the pink, like Raquel Reed's current colour. I wouldn't actually dye my hair, except for the shorter black underneath, but I would get long teal extensions on top. Does it sound worth it?

Should I get an Audrey Kitching haircut?

YES! That haircut is awesome! I like the color too. It definately sounds worth it.

Should I get an Audrey Kitching haircut?

wat is that?

Should I get an Audrey Kitching haircut?

sure!!

Should I get an Audrey Kitching haircut?

ya

Should I get an Audrey Kitching haircut?

Whats the point in getting it cut if your gonna add extensions on top unless your getting her bangs

Should I get an Audrey Kitching haircut?

heck yeah that would be so cool... any girl who can do that with there hair is bad a** that would be so sick.... I think you should go for it!

Should I get an Audrey Kitching haircut?

yes it does sound worth it

Should I get an Audrey Kitching haircut?

Audrey Kitching cuts hair?

Haircut: should i get one in pics shown in link or sumthin different? what to aviod? any ideas will

im a boy my hair is naturally strate but it flicks out at the ends when it drys after i get out of the shower so sometimes i have to straten it currently it is almost down to my shoulders and my bangs are to my chin, it is dark brown with natural light brown streaks in it. i dont want to get it super short so its booring, i like to style it. i dont like center parts and im not afrade to do sumthin out of the ordinary but not "omg they are weard" but i do like "wow thats new and interesting" i like androgynous haircuts [not boy or girl, hard to distinguish from boy or girl cuts] sumthin i can wake up and go with and style some days as well but is simple to handel. i once had blunt bangs cut between my brows and eyes and i sorta liked it but cant get again go here, look at all pics and what do u think of the hair in the pic where they are in all black in a cemetary with red hair, or the blond one with yellow jacket?

How do I document this text in MLA style? Is this right?

I'm doing a character analysis presentation and on a poster board and I'm supposed to discuss strong traits of a person I read about in a biography (it's The Color of Water by James McBride in case you were wondering).

I'm supposed to describe a trait, then give a passage from the book that supports the point I just made.

How do I list these passages? If I can remember correctly, it'd be like this:

"At fifty-one she was still slender and pretty, with curly black hair, dark eyes, a large nose, a sparkling smile, and a bowlegged walk you could see a mile off." (McBride 7) %26lt;-- the author's name and the page the passage is found on.

Is this right?

Any help would be really appreciated.

How do I document this text in MLA style? Is this right?

That's correct for the most part, just make sure the period is on the other side of the parenthesis.

"At fifty-one she was still slender and pretty, with curly black hair, dark eyes, a large nose, a sparkling smile, and a bowlegged walk you could see a mile off" (McBride 7).

Try this website. I always use it for MLA citation.

I bought a green dress , its dark and a bit shimmery...it has jewels on the stomach area right under

breasts in a diamond shape, and its backless till around the middle lower back and the strap only goes around the neck.... 3 questions 1 how should i do hair and make up (my opinion all up and coming down in curles) 2. what shoes should i wear, what color and style (my opinion silver or black sandles with high heals) 3. what accesories should i get

(gold or silver color) ? By The Way the dress is longa and tight

I bought a green dress , its dark and a bit shimmery...it has jewels on the stomach area right under the?

No matter what your hair color, with this sort of dress, if your hair is long, do an up-do, a simple one, probably not a lot of curls hanging down.

Make up should be smouldering....smoky eyes, lots of mascara, green and grey eyeshadow, dark green on the lide, dark grey in the crease and lining the eye and a lighter grey to go under the brow to highlight your eyes.

Choose your blush and lipstick to go with your skin tones. Try to stay away from reds unless you are a redhead. Even so, this season, a toned down look is much more fashionable. Again, go for the sultry, smoky look with lip color and after applying your lipstick, take a lip gloss one shade lighter and highlight your bottom lip, in the center, this helps your lips and eyes "pop."

I would recommend a gold strappy sandal to go with this beautiful green dress. It sounds like the dress is very decorative in itself and you don't want to overpower your look with too many accessories.

A couple of gold bangles and medium sized gold hoops, even with crystals in the hoops, you could go with diamonds or the same color swarovski crystals in the hoops, but definitely stick with gold.

Gold and green are perfect mates for one another.

Just my opinion....

I bought a green dress , its dark and a bit shimmery...it has jewels on the stomach area right under the?

It sounds as if youve got the answers!!

.. I think gold or silver would look good.if the shoes are silver go with that. OH and it sounds beautiful!

I bought a green dress , its dark and a bit shimmery...it has jewels on the stomach area right under the?

1. Updo

2. gold strappy heels

3. acessories should compliment your shoes

I bought a green dress , its dark and a bit shimmery...it has jewels on the stomach area right under the?

hair up always looks elegant. Black shoes are sexier, classic make-up, not trendy, gold accesories.

Makeover Suggestions?

So I'm a 15 year-old guy and due to some weird events in my life I want to change my look. (it's my therapy)

Right now I have:

medium length, straight dark blonde hair

no highlights

clear skin

black neat eyebrows

a great dark rich tan that is pretty much my trademark (everyone associates my name with "perfect tan")

preppy expensive style (Abercrombie and Fitch, Juicy Men, Lacoste, Diesel, Hollister Co, etc.)

So, I want to change my look, any suggestions. (have fun with it)

Makeover Suggestions?

I would start with the clothes. Experiment with styles other than preppy; while you don't have to go to major extremes, like going totally goth, (unless you want to), shop at different stores that you haven't tried. Try on clothes that you normally wouldn't. Add a little punk, rocker, grunge, just whatever to your wardrobe.

Next I'd change the hair. Possibly go lighter, even bleach it, or go darker, brunette or black. For something more subtle, just do highlights.

Want to really change your look? Try not to tan anymore. Put loads of sunscreen on and don't spend too much time in the sun.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Makeover Suggestions?

You sound awesome! Why change? Maybe some highlights in your hair...

Makeover Suggestions?

dye ur hair to match ur eyebrows

Makeover Suggestions?

Even though I have to agree that you do sound pretty cool, if it's for therapy, I think I have some suggestions.

Try changing your clothes. It's the easiest to change and it never hurts to buy cheap clothes once and a while.

I guess you could dye your hair... but then you'd have to keep up with it. I'd say just get it cut a little bit.

Yeah. I'm not very good with making over guys... sorry. Clothes is your best bet. Just go with t-shirts and jeans, guys clothing doesn't really vary that much... or as far as I can tell.

Makeover Suggestions?

I think you should try a new style of clothes. Instead of going for the preppy "in" look, why don't you dress more sophisticated and manly. Wear something a bit more dressy and sexy. Also I'm not sure what you meant by medium length hair, but I think men with long hair is "so yesterday". You should get nice clean cut hair and style it with some gel, or whatever you guys use. I think it will make you look more classy and attractive. I hope this helps!!! Good luck with your makeover!!!!

Makeover Suggestions?

How dramatic or subtle do you want to change to be. Is there a specific look you are trying to achieve? Do you want to return to your original look after your therapy?

You could change your hair style. You could cut your hair into a short spiky look. You could get a mohawk and color it different colors. You could get highlights or low lights in your hair. Shave the back and sides. Buzz cut. Flat top. Side part. Slicked back. Dye it. Streak it. You have option with your hair style.

You could change your style in clothing -- jeans and t-shirts, casual dress, athletic/sporty look, goth. It would be easier if you had a preference to a look you were interested in and how far you wanted to go with it.

The rest is pretty much you and would be hard to change. Wear spf 50 to prevent a great tan, bush your eyebrows and grow a zit. Put on or lose a few pounds. Work out or don't work out.

Sorry, hair and clothes are all I could come up with. You sound pretty terrific the way you are. I'm sure you have your reasons and change is good. I hope you find the new look you are looking for.

What do i wear??

theres a boy i need to impress. hes in a band. hes friends with one of my friends. we both dress the same. like rocker style i guess. mostly in black. but i need to know what to wear to give a good first impression. he doesnt like sluttly girls so nothing like that. not that i would wear something like that anyways. and nothing bright in color. its pretty cold out now too so it has to be something that would work good with that. does anybody have any ideas? thanks if you do.

also i need to know how i should wear my hair. i have long blonde hair. its kind of wavy so its hard to do things with it.

thanks so much =]

What do i wear??

ohmygosh I have the perfect idea.. u said he's in a band right? u and ur friend should get sweatshirts. put the bands name on them. and get the guy's last name on the back of the sweatshirt.. It'll look so cute.. and if your afraid it'll kinda creep him out just get the bands name on the sweatshirt.. as for ur hair tie a black ribbon around ur head and straighten or scrunch your hair. You could also pull it back and tie the ribbon around the rubber band (or whatever is holding your hair back.. just make sure it's not a clip).. you could ask to go to his house and listen to him and his band play music for a while.. he'll totally love that u like his music and he'll get the hint that u like him.. u should thank him for letting u come over with a kiss;) he'll more than likely ask u over again to listen to them play again.. or just for u to come over;) good luck... oh and just where jeans..

What do i wear??

wear your hair down a black band tee and either like tight vynal or leather pants or realy baggy black pants and a looser and tee. like maybe a pair of small guys tripp or caffine baggy style bondage pants and a shirt that is a size or 2 too big if you dont want to use your body to flatter him.

What do i wear??

wear a black tank top with a purple jacket....lime green shoes...and a pink hat. good luck let me know how it went

What do i wear??

Ok, so first off your hair: try getting bangs but first straighten (flat-iron) your hair! bangs are really pretty these days, but put them off to the side like parted. Then start with pants: Something kinda tight maybe ripped up and with chains. Then the shirt: something sexy, but not slutty and put a tie in with it!! A red tie. Yeah, and then when you are around him, kinda play with the tie or let him wear it for a while. Trust me it works! Good luck! Just don't change who you are!

What do i wear??

a black led zeplin or beatles or roling stones t shirt long sleves or a jacket

jeans or jean skirt with cute matalic shoes

your hair in a pony tail

if you wear make up a dramatic look although nothing to extreme

hope i helped

What do i wear??

You should always dress in what makes you comfortable, it will help to make a better impression. This is a suggestion, if it is not your style don't wear it.

Start out with a simple pair of jeans, you can make any outfit with jeans. Then try a nice top, not over the top but not understated. Add some accesories to top off the look, not too many though, try a belt and some earrings.

Try keeping your hair out of your face, you'll seem more open that way, maybe a cute headband? Not a neccessary addition though.

Remember to be comfortable to make a good impression. Good luck!

What do i wear??

oppisties attract. he's all rocker, your all bright! and just be yourself! i know it sounds kinda old school but seriously, i use to like a guy like that and we are sooooooooo opistie! even though i never went out with him we still got along really well. girl, just be yourself and have confidince when your around him.

as for your hair, my hair use to be just like that (but straight...then i cut it and donated it so it's so short now i can't do much, anyway....). if you put too much effort into your hair it'll show through and it won't look as good. i suggest if you know your going to see him, that morning throw it up in an easy bun (put it up in a pony tail then twist it then wrap it around) and just let your shorter hairs naturally fall. if you can french braid or you know sombody who can get your hair french braid in two of them. it looks real cute!

good luck, and hun, relax! you are who you are and love yourself no matter what!

if you need anymore help e-mail me at taters821@yahoo.com

ps-i'm 13 so if your around my age, i know how you feel, totally!

What do i wear??

personally i'd go with a jacket like http://www.aeropostale.com/product/index...

with a shirt like this http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/store/p...

with a pair of denim jeans

then for accessories i'd go with some http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/store/p...

Shoes, i'd go with a pair of converse.

For hair, i'd look at some pics of ashlee simpson.

I think going with a band tee of his favorite band might be cool and get his attention. good luck!

What do i wear??

It's important for you to wear something you feel good wearing. It gives you a lift and confidence. You must be yourself in your dress and not attempt to dress to please others. There's too many to please and you don't know what they like unless you know them or they tell you. Your dress should reflect who you are. Be firm in it and not wishy washy.

Your hair sounds lovely and most guys like it down around your face.

Wow you deffinatley need some eye make-up. Try black eyeliner and mascara. maybe even some fake eyelashes. they do have some that look natural, although they can be kinda pricey depending on where you get them. (they can be tricky to put on). Also try some foundation to lessen the sight of blemishes.

from what I see, you are gorgeous,,, just the way you are....

Anybody good with myspace layouts?

I just tried it, it works fine. If you're putting this code in the "About Me" section just make sure you put what you want displayed in the About Me section on your profile before all of that code.

For example, here's what you put in the "About Me" box when editing your profile:

I just posted this questions but...i wanted 2 add more to it,?

im going to a rock club and i need an idea of what to do with my hair, my hairs mid-back length, and black...I'll do anything to it other then cut it, i'm open to any style or color, does anyone have ideas? also a picture would be extrememly helpful

I just posted this questions but...i wanted 2 add more to it,?

go to the little boxes under you question put your mouse over the last box and you will see add details click on that and there you go

A punk hairstyle?

i have long fine-ish hair (brown)

Ive got to do a dance show and one of the dances is like a punk ballet.

I need a hairstyle that i can take out between dances because ive got different ones to do too that arent punky.

I will have time to style it

Our costumes are black and white

also, are there any punky accesories (in england) that would look any good in the style?

And any make up ideas would be good too :)

I'd like to start practicing the style, and any pictures would be brilliant!

Thanks!

:)

A punk hairstyle?

A massive mohawk (or as spikey as you can get it) and some neon bright make up :) Skinny jeans and lots of chains/bangles/cuffs. Fake nose ring if possible.

Cool, sounds fun :)

A punk hairstyle?

You should get some hott pink highlights!!!!!!!

A punk hairstyle?

if you are able to style your hair up all spked and have it hot pink then give it a go, if not go check at your local store for a wig that is this style to wear and use it and you should be set.

A punk hairstyle?

Maybe buy some bright hair extensions you can clip in and take out. Pink would be good.

A punk hairstyle?

Back comb %26amp; jell - make it spiky!

Ok you will have to wash your hair in between depending on the gell....

A punk hairstyle?

have your hair color in blue-black or a few shades lighter than black, oomph up the volume, get your frindge done .

A punk hairstyle?

Is there a place where you can go and get some hair accessories? I have seen some (in America) that are ponytail rubber bands with different color synthetic hair on them. I would check any stores there and see if there are any that you like. Good luck on all your performances!

A punk hairstyle?

have it in a choppy style with a side fringe maybe, then you can have it punk or not by adding in extensions. I think you may suit the style i have in mine right now . DONT have pink put in your hair as that colour would definitely clash with your outfit. Maybe a purple colour? or something that will definitely go with the black and white. I cant tell you where to go for punk things as i have no idea where you live but there are alot of stores around England that sell punk things you just have to look for them depending on where you live.

Mail me if you need any advice on it

Good Luck

What style would suit me? Advice!?

I have shoulder length black hair to match a really really dark brown eyes. Pretty much straight but curls at the bottom. Do you think I should straighten or curl it? or any other stly? Would a fringe suit me?

What style would suit me? Advice!?

i have the same thing going on..i usually straighten it..but sometimes after i get out of the shower i like to put some gel in and let it curl up

What style would suit me? Advice!?

flattop

What style would suit me? Advice!?

It would be fine any way!

What style would suit me? Advice!?

I think if you straiten it and got it layred that would be cute

What style would suit me? Advice!?

A fringe would suit u. Bangs r not really affective on shoulder-length hair, especially hair that curls at the bottom, because the look of bangs would somehow get lost with it. But if u straightened it it would look good. But that damages hair so I think u shouldn't.

U should straighten your hair, perms(curled hair) r not really in these days, and it can look sort of poofy. If u really wanna curl or straighten, I say straighten it, because of the length of the hair, and black hair will get a wonderful shine when straight.

I think option 1, only a fringe, would suit your hair best(because u won't have to treat it in any way or flat iron it or straighten it chemically). But if u r OK with straightening, I say do bangs and a fringe! It is a change but it would look amazing!

Hope I helped!

Enjoy!

there was this guy at my school. we liked the same music and had the same style and even got to know eachother really well while he was dating my best friend.

they broke up and, well we didnt hang out as much after that. (not at all!)

we both LOVE the ramones.

one day it was outdoor resess and i was wearing my ramones shirt, my hair was straightened and i was wearing black eyeliner, skinny jeans and hightops. thats the style he told me to never change (cuz he said its awesome).

we were standing across from eachother and i would catch him looking at me. when he knew i caught him, he would quickly look away. so this happened about 2 or 3 times.

a few little things like that happened between us after they broke up.

Why do a lot of white people hate on blacks for rap, but they rarely do on white people for being ro

Ok, now I will meet there is a lot of rap that turns me off and the style in which it looks can be real gangsta and downright scary in it's appearance. And a lot of white people tend to hate on blacks for that and well, I can't disagree with them. I'm black and even I'll admit it's a bit bad in it's appearance and effect. However, I rarely here white people hate on rock. Blacks are respectful enough not to hate on white people's rock either. And to me, rock is some of the most obnoxious, loud, irritating music I have ever heard. And if you want to talk about bad in appearance, rockers have tattooes all over their stomachs and arms, usually with their shirts off. They have piercing in their nose and necks, long wild hair, a lot of times paint, and black lipstick. Just look at Marilyn Manson. I mean, I could go on for ages on how crazy rockers look. There's also those white gothic people who are sort of connected to rock. How come white people never hate on that but hate on blacks rap.

Why do a lot of white people hate on blacks for rap, but they rarely do on white people for being rockers?

Rock isn't hated on as much as rap music because of rap's lyrical content and videos. Modern rock music can be loud, and the people singing the music can sound and look downright scary, but their lyrics aren't always about negative things (drinking, drugs, objectifying women, gangsta activity, raunchy sex, etc.) like rap tends to be and rock videos don't usually contain half-naked women shaking their a**es for the camera. Not saying all rock music is pure and all rap is bad though. Those are just the general feelings.

Why do a lot of white people hate on blacks for rap, but they rarely do on white people for being rockers?

No, I am indeed not a moron. Thanks for the assumption though. Report It

Why do a lot of white people hate on blacks for rap, but they rarely do on white people for being rockers?

You're cherry picking facts- and ignoring some obvious things with your statements.

Rap and R%26amp;B, along with Pop music dominate the mainstream music charts, therefore they get the most attention and discussion by a media that is predominantly white.

Think of it this way, while both do exist- which would surprise you least- a white kid dressed up and acting like a rapper, or a black kid dressed up and acting like a rocker?

You cannot deny it would be the latter, so how is that hating?

Why do a lot of white people hate on blacks for rap, but they rarely do on white people for being rockers?

It seems to me that you have some prejudices yourself. I am a young white girl, I listen to rap more that rock (or what you call "white" music). I have a piercing, but no tattoos. I have a lot of black friends. Is it only white, rock-loving people who can have piercings, tattoos, or a creative hairstyle? No. If you turn on BET anytime of the day you will see all different forms of expression in the form of body art. Black rappers have tattoos too; it's not just a "white rocker" thing .

Our society and most of the people in it have this view that everyone has to have a "cookie cutter" image. If you are white you act a certain way and if you are black you act a certain way. That is not how it is.

Oh, and FYI, all goths aren't white either.

Here is a piece of advice, you should become a more informed person and change your views before you expect everyone else to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perfect Prom dress (color, style, cut). make up, hairstyle, shoes for me?

I am 5 feet high. with brown skin that's not glowing. you know not like j.lo but still brown. i have black hair. dark brown eyes that's almost black. i have a prominent forhead. i have a small "chest". i have an uneven skintone in my arms. any help? pics will be appreciated!

Perfect Prom dress (color, style, cut). make up, hairstyle, shoes for me?

I think you should wear red! Maybe more of a cranberry red, that would really warm up your skin tone.

Wear neutral (blacks and browns) for your eyemakeup, and try out some red lipstick (again, not fire-engine red!) I bet you could pull that off since you have darker skin, you won't look like a vampire.

Try some st. ives apricot scrub on your arms to exfoliate and even out your skin tone. If that doesn't help, try some light self tanner to even out the color.

If you are thin all over, maybe you could try a satin dress? It would be shiny and emphasize your curves. If you are average all over and just have a smaller chest, I think a ballgown style dress would work well because they give you more of an hourglass shape and often make the chest more prominent.

http://www.amazon.com/Satin-Formal-Bride...

(This dress would be extremely flattering! The long straight front panel will emphasize height)

http://www.davidsbridal.com/party_dresse...

(I really like this one, the deep red color would be great and the chiffon halter part gives you more volume on top. The back is really nice too.)

Perfect Prom dress (color, style, cut). make up, hairstyle, shoes for me?

try a long dark blue dress with lowish clevage. straighten your hair and use skin toned make up. dont worry that you have a small chest, get a plunge bra and show off what you have got.strppy shoe with a thin heel are always the best shoes to wear. have you tried tanning wipes to even out the tone of skin on your arms, it wont be permanent but it will help for your special night.

Is this an appropriate haircut for a 6yr old boy? Picture inside?

My son has had his hair long for a year and he loves it. I think it was cute while he was little but he should get a shorter cut until he gets older. He is the only little boy in our area with longer hair (he is 6.... I have seen plenty of older kids with that style but not his age) so I dont know if people think it is an odd hair style for him to have. Any opinions?

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l162/a...

I blacked out his face for obvious reasons.

Is this an appropriate haircut for a 6yr old boy? Picture inside?

Awww... that's such a cute cut... I know tons of guys who have that cut, even older men. It should be fine on your son as long as he also likes it. I learned that the hard way. My daughter hated her hair cut and cut it again by herself! Bad situation. So if he likes it you should defiantly get it!!! :] !

Good luck! :]

aww your little boy looks sooo cute, yes his hair is adorable. it's natural curly. i think he looks good. my husband and i have natural curly hair. he has the curls too like that and i love it.. keep it the way it is ok.

Is this an appropriate haircut for a 6yr old boy? Picture inside?

yes- I think it's quite adorable. If you want to trim it up, I say go for it, but it's a cute cut and it makes him happy

Is this an appropriate haircut for a 6yr old boy? Picture inside?

Really don't think it was necessary to block out his face, looks like he's a cute kid, and no, i don't think it's an 'inappropriate' haircut for a 6-year-old, let him express his style however he wants to. If you force him to cut it differently he'll be mad at you for it and won't forget it for quite awhile, if he was wearing girls clothes or make-up or something, then you should step in, but it just a skater-boy haircut, let him have his way on this one.

Is this an appropriate haircut for a 6yr old boy? Picture inside?

His hair doesn't look too long.

His school might have guidelines that will have to be observed in the fall--

But if he likes his hair that way and you're fine with his hair being that length then everything is fine. It doesn't eally matter what others think or what the style is for a 6yr old, as long as you're all happy.

Is this an appropriate haircut for a 6yr old boy? Picture inside?

i love his haircut!! it's sooo adorable!

Is this an appropriate haircut for a 6yr old boy? Picture inside?

Yeah, he looks cute!

Is this an appropriate haircut for a 6yr old boy? Picture inside?

I think that he looks absolutely adorable. I don't see anything wrong with this.

If ur son likes it, it really cute

i say it's a keeper, especially if he likes it! it's adorable and i love it! :D

I had a dream i had a TONGUE PIERCING...does that mean i should get one???i used to hate them until

last night i had a dream that i had a tongue piercing and i took it out and placed it next to me and then i decided that i didn't want to lose it because i had just got the piercing and hadn't bought any new ones yet...so i tried putting it back in and i couldn't find the hole for a while, but i finally found it and was really happy when i had it back in...

i have my own look and really like:

*pale skin

*black eyemascara etc

*plump red lips

*classy hair

and fab/classy/rock/punk/hip hop style clothing on me...

i never would have considered a tongue piercing until my dream last night?!!?

should i get one?!

i'm 17!

please help!

thanks,

xao=P

I had a dream i had a TONGUE PIERCING...does that mean i should get one???i used to hate them until now?!!?!?!

Dream content is symbolic, not literal, so unless you want a tongue piercing in waking, don't get it just because you got it in your dreams. I could consider that the piercing would indicate something more along the lines that you are considering learning a new language, or using language in a new and different way. Or, that you're trying on different persona or "styles" in your life to see which ones fit you, and your subconscious is telling you the best way to find out if something works is to try it on for awhile to see if it works. Basically, you won't know what works for you until you try it first. I doubt your dreams are telling you to get a tongue piercing.

I had a dream i had a TONGUE PIERCING...does that mean i should get one???i used to hate them until now?!!?!?!

My mom told me last night that she had a dream I had a baby girl named Amelia. So this doesnt mean I am going to have a girl and name her Amelia. I have 2 boys now and do not want anymore children.

Dreams like you had isn't a sign to do something. Maybe you had it because you secretly wanted a piercing all along?

If you want it done then get it. Shouldnt matter what you look like or whatever. I am a "preppy" girl and I had my tongue pierced and my nipple pierced....don't recommend either. I took both piercings out shortly having them done.

Tongue jewelry can chip your teeth and damage your enamal. And I hope you wont mind swallowing mac-n-cheese whole for about a week. Ugh, nasty experience. I personally will never do it again. And the nipple? ouch.

I had a dream i had a TONGUE PIERCING...does that mean i should get one???i used to hate them until now?!!?!?!

heck no! that just means that when you think about it, you want to do it, but you wont. its just a matter of time before you figure that out.

The jazz age had a huge impact on American culture. The evolution of jazz began in the 1920閳ユ獨 also known as the roaring 20閳ユ獨. Jazz came curing era of evolution America was changing from old America to new America. Te sounds of jazz came from all over the globe. Older people in the 1920閳ユ獨 had trouble abiding with the new culture America brought fourth. 閳ユ藩atchmo閳?the king of jazz was why jazz made such a big impact on America閳ユ獨 people. 1920閳ユ獨 style and music evolution also influenced many other types of music.

The 閳ユ竼volution閳?of American cuklture began in the 1920閳ユ獨 also known as the roaring 20閳ユ獨. The start of the 1920閳ユ獨 marked the end of World War 1 and America閳ユ獨 evolution. The first sounds of jazz originated in America. New Orleans was the city of jazz in the 1920閳ユ獨 people called it the birthplace of jazz. Jazz was popular in its early days in African American communities. Without slaves being brought to America would jazz have been discovered?

The roots of jazz started in Africa. Western Africans were the first to produce the first sounds of jazz in America. When slaves were brought to America they were not allowed to bring instruments but they brought their own unique style in music. Louis Armstrong created most of the frist sounds of jazz in America. Many young children followed in Louis閳ユ獨 inspirational footsteps. The 1920閳ユ獨 was the start of some color barriers being broken.

Children, and the movement. Children made jazz music so popular. Children developed a new feel for music from the classical music to the upbeat sounds of jazz. The blues was very popular before jazz but not for kids, kids were into more upbeat sounds and rhythms. That is why they feel in love with jazz music. Some parents disapproved of jazz because of its African roots and popularity in African American communities. They preferred the mellow and light sounds of classical music. Dancing became the new fad fir teens curfews became later and children began to spend more and more time out of their homes. The shimmy and fox trot were big dance styles back in the 20閳ユ獨. Kids were used to classic music such as ballroom dancing and the waltz not the upbeat movements of jazz. Jazz broke many color barriers between African American children and white children. Many children閳ユ獨 jazz groups consisted of black %26amp; whites. Children in this decade were experiencing that transition from old to new America.

Women were and are the back bone of jazz they kept the movement going. Women were either backup singers or songstress. The queen of jazz is Ella Fitzgerald she was one of the first women to hit the big time. Women were not commonly seen playing instruments in the 1920閳ユ獨.Black women were mostly involved in the earlier days of the jazz age. Black women were backup singers for many white songstresses; because back in the 1920閳ユ獨 black women were not allowed to perform infront of big white audience so they got their fame from singing behind people.

The father of jazz changed America for ever. Louis Armstrong AKA 閳ユ藩atchmo閳?was dubbed the king of jazz in the late 1920閳ユ獨. He was born in a poor neighborhood in New Orleans known as the battle field. Louis Armstrong played mostly brass instruments. His music teacher was 閳ユ窚ing閳?Oliver, King taught him how to play the instruments but he made it a style all his own. Satchmo閳ユ獨 music was loved by many blacks and whites children and adults. He refused to play in segregated arenas, bars, and clubs. His band consisted of 12 blacks and 10 whites. That showed American that music is music and it doesn閳ユ獩 matter what race you are. That set a positive example for kids and many kids started to rebel against segregation. But that didn閳ユ獩 change all of America.

Jazz influenced many types of other music. Latin many forms of Latin music evolved from jazz. Latin jazz salsa and maranga have very deep roots in jazz. In Mexico City jazz was a big hit. All they did was add some Spanish and add a spicier beats that people could dance too easy. Even today閳ユ獨 hip hop was influenced by jazz. Gospel music, R%26amp;b, and soul music were also influenced by the sounds of jazz. Without jazz there wouldn閳ユ獩 be the wide variety of music we have today in America.

Jazz made such a big impact on American culture. Children were evolving and begging to love their new found freedoms. People were begging to see that music and race don閳ユ獩 tie together. Women were being appreciated more and began to more things in their communities. Jazz opened doors for many African American children to have their time to shine on stage. Color barriers were begging to crumple it was the end of world war one so it was a time for celebration. Style, hair, and all changed they made a huge transition from old to new America. That was only the begging of the 20閳ユ獨. If all that didn閳ユ獩 occur would we have all that we have today?

What grade would you give me on my 8thgrade social studies essay?tell me what i need to change n stuff?

I'm no teacher so I don't know how to set a grade but I think you have an interesting topic, something I'm sure you could write a whole book on. Here are a few tips.

Some basic aspects which may seem trivial compared to content, but they actually in some cases affect the ability of the reader to understand your arguments: spelling and grammar. For now you need to check your spelling because there are a number of misspellings in the essay. For example you spelled culture "cuklture". There are also places where you have a word that is spelled correctly but used incorrectly. Where you say "curing" at the beginning of the essay I think you meant "during" and you wrote "brought fourth" but that should be "brought forth". I also think that at the end of the essay the word you are wanting to use is 'beginning' not 'begging'. Oh and the Latin music style is spelled merengue.

Also re-check your grammar. There are missing commas and, for example, when you are using the genitive case (possessive case) and the noun ends in 'S' you don't add another 'S'. Thus where it says Louis's it should just say Louis'.

You taught me a new word though. I've never heard the term songstress, just singer. Thanks for that.

As for content I don't think I can help much there. Let me just summarize the points I think you are trying to make. That way you can tell if something is not coming across clearly or if you are getting the message out that you want.

You begin by emphasizing the development of jazz as a part of the post World War II era of development in American culture. You also say that the sound of jazz came from all over the globe, although it seems to me that you later say that it was developed in New Orleans by African Americans of West African descent. So that to me seems to be rather more specific than "all over the globe".

You ask an important question: would jazz have developed had Africans not been brought to the United States as slaves? You also point out the generation gap between parents who disapproved of this new sound and children who loved it. Also you point out that the music helped to break down racial barriers.

Then you talk about the importance of women in jazz and Louis Armstrong and how he had a mixed band and refused to play segregated concert venues.

You talk about the role that jazz has had in the development of other music genres and then conclude by talking about how jazz had a large impact on American culture and that it came about during a time of evolution for young people and women and demonstrated that music is universal and helped African Americans achieve a more prominent position, or perhaps I should say to become more visible, in American culture, possibly helping to pave the way for the civil rights movement of the 60s.

Is that more or less what you were trying to get across?

What grade would you give me on my essay for my 8th grade social studies class?

What grade would you give me on my essay for my 8th grade social studies class?

I'm going to have to agree with the others about your grammatical errors.

You have some capitalization errors, also spelling and punctuation. If your original does not contain these issues then you will be fine.

I must also agree that it is better not to ask questions in your essay. These can be reworded into statements without losing the impact that you intended for them to have in the first place.

I will have to diagree with Olivia, who had a very good answer, about the relevance of hairstyle and fashion to your essay.First it is not like this is being used as one of the main points of your work.Second jazz music absolutely influenced,to some point, the styles, fashion and hair of the day at least in isolated areas of America's subcultures, and was probably the beggining of music and fashion/style influencing one another.

You may want to use spellcheck, but don't rely soley on that. You use the word "beggining" twice in the last paragraph and misspell as "begging" which is the correct spelling of begging meaning : to beg.As this is a correct spelling spellcheck will not catch this one.

Other than these grammitcal errors your content is fine and relevent to your subject.A few repititions you could do without but these should not be a problem especially at an eighth grade level.

All in all it seems well researched and in the eighth grade that carries a lot of weight in your grade as research can be time consuming and many students try to avoid it.

Yahoo questions is a prime example of this as many of the questions asked here are the result of students who are mearly too lazy to do there own research.Researching material on your own is how you learn and retain knowledge.

Thank you for doing your own work, and despite a few easily corrected grammatical errors this essay should bring you a grade of A easily,B+ at the very least.

What grade would you give me on my essay for my 8th grade social studies class?

I would give you an A, it was very detailed and educational!! Good job!!!

What grade would you give me on my essay for my 8th grade social studies class?

You could easily earn a B+ or A on this essay- it's very informative and interesting. But there are a few mistakes:

First of all, there are a few grammar and spelling mistakes (for example, the missing of capitalization in "World War One" [last paragraph], and "...America brought fourth" instead of "forth" [first paragraph]) that you'll have to root through and find hidden throughout the essay.

Second, there are a few irrelevant phrases thrown in here. For example, (last paragraph) what do style and hair have to do with the evolution jazz created in the 20s? Music and fashion coincide today, but until the late 60s, looks didn't effect an artist's popularity.

And there was just one more pet peeve towards the end- I hate it when people start or end a paper with a question. I mean, unless you've been told to do that to, "leave the reader wondering", I wouldn't find it acceptable at all. You could rephrase it to something like, "If all that didn't occur, America today might not be as we know it". If you ask a question (to me, anyways), it sounds as if you're not completely sure about what you researched. Sounding authoritative and confident can make an essay shine through the others.

And again, you obviously put a lot of work into this paper, and it's absolutely wonderful. There are just a few kinks, as there are with any paper.

Good luck, and hope I helped!

What grade would you give me on my essay for my 8th grade social studies class?

you need to clean up the typos/mis-spellings. I got to the 4th one %26amp; quit reading. I will say what I read is well researched %26amp; well written but if the typos are in the original I wouldn't give you better than a B-

My natural hair color is dark brown. It's naturally curly and frizzy. I dyed it red recently and I have it straightened right now(when it's straight, it dosnt frizz). It's also tyed back in a ponytail and it's a little more than shoulder length.
