What kind of haircut should I get?

I am getting a haircut but I don't know what style I should get. I want long/medium hair for sure though. No shorter then between my shoulders and my chest. I have long dark brown hair but I want highlights. Any ideas on what color highlights I should get? My hair is really dark brown but not black. I have light skin but not pale. I absolutely want bangs too. If anyone has any suggestions, please get back to me as soon as possible. Also, if you have any pictures that would help a lot. Thanks so much!

Your hair would look good like the one in the link, but leave it dark brown and use lighter brown highlights.

I am thinking along the lines of this....

keep the color it is now for the all around then get highlights that are light blond and then some darker red. I know it doesn't sound to good but I have seen it on people before and it looks great.

cut and paste that pic. it is kelly clarkson and it looks great on her. im sure it will look wonderful on you as well. (not so sure about the bangs though...you are on your own with that because I hate bangs.)
