At school people use to always tell me that I act and dress like a white girl. Well I'm black but my style is what my friends say is more of a white girl's style. Well I didnt know that there was a such thing as a white girl or black girl style. My favortie movie is legally blonde, and I even told my bf that I wanted to die my hair blonde. I'm not trying to be white, I just wanna be a blonde. lol. My boyfriend told me that I was in denial with who I am. Do you think I hate what I am, and that im trying to be something that im not?

NO WAY! The people who tell you that are silly and actually racist! There is no right way to 'be black' or to 'be white'. Don't let them put that in your head! Just be you, and that's all that matters. So what your style is different from your friends, they may just have no imaginations, or they may fear being different. But individuality is what makes you special! Be true to yourself and keep your style, no matter what they say. You're not trying to 'be white', you're trying to be you, and if they can't understand that.....who cares what they think?!

Well unfortunately I think there is such a thing as acting and dressing like different races I have a good friend who is the whitest black guy I have ever met we used to joke with him But there is no need to live up to a stereo type people go out of there way to dress trendy and like they think they should just wear what you like and go blonde if you want the way you dress does not make you who you are so I dont htink it is possible to be in denial of yourself unless your wearing a white sheet

Be true to yourself. Don't worry about other opinions. Your 'style' is what makes you an individual. It takes more people like you and what I believe in order to keep people on their toes. I'm Native American and damn proud of it. I wear my items that make me feel good about myself and if no one likes it - tough ****. Do what you feel is right to your self.

NO! just be yourself and who cares what people say to you. hey, legally blonde is one my favorites to and I'm not blonde. you're not in denial, it happens to anybody. You're still young. Hey I wanted to get a boob job, I wanted a lift, but I wanted them to look more natural and my friend talk me out of it by showing pictures of the worst boob jobs ever.
