Ok so I'm 18 pursuing a career in acting/writing. What do you call my style of dress? I'm sure some of you are going to say stuff like, "ugly," but don't bother. I don't care whether you like it or not, although by all means let me know if you do or not. I'm going to dress how I like anyway, I do what I want, not what other people think I should. Anyway, let me know...

I look like James Dean with ear-length sideburns

My hair is a dark blonde and is styled like Dean

I wear blue jeans

Tan cowboy boots or deck shows without socks if I am lazy

Solid color t-shirts under open button-up collared shirts

My class ring, a mood ring, a tribal ring and a watch

2 leather wristbands

Sometimes I war army style "dog tags"

If it's cool out wear a denim jacket

I have a black leather racing jacket with a red %26amp; white stripe I like to wear around.

How to you classify all this? Does everyone think I'm nuts? I just hate preppy styles and hip-hop clothing. I refuse to buy A/F or Hollister, etc...

hippie/rustic/western/70's? i like the look..i'm imagining you look like hyde from "that 70's show".. minus the hair lol. you should complete the look with some aviator glasses. no but seriously, i'm thinking you have a very unique look-except for the jackets..yuck. no denim jackets- they are so out. especially denim-on-denim. ew, it's not appealing.

I guess I would consider that style..umm..cowboyish..that is kind of hard...it's like a mixture of different style's..but yeah i don't really like the prep look for guy's most the time. But yu should try nordstrom's they have great clothes there!! =)..

It's hard to say without seeing the clothes, but unbuttoned shirts on solid tees with jeans and boots are characteristic of the 90's grunge movement. Just to be clear, a preppy look can be stylish while still retaining a sense of class. Hollister and Abercrombie cater to teensters, while more high-end stores like Lacoste and Polo offer classic elegance.

First off if you look like James Dean you must be really cute. You sound like you have a very laid back, vintage style, which I personally think is much hotter than those guys who were American Eagle or Hollister. They just seem so fake and unoriginal;and nah I don't think you're nuts. :)

I'd call it vintage and rebellious, but why are you trying to fit in a stereotype? If James Dean's your idol or something, then you really shouldn't give a f**k about what your style is "classified" as. Anyway your style sounds pretty wicked, so keep it up. And I wouldn't call you nuts, just slightly contradicting, since you don't care what people think of you.
