Homecoming Advice?

I am attending a homecoming dance in October.

Last year I wore a conventional, "classy," mom-approved mid-calf length black dress with minimal natural makeup. How incredibly boring.

This year I'm wearing a wilder, above-the-knee length PLAID dress. Its hard to explain, so here's a link:

What kind of makeup looks do you suggest? I was thinking something really mod (nude lips, false eyelashes, matte skin, and striking black liquid liner) to emphasis my uber pale skin and very dark eyes.

Please suggest easy makeup looks and tips on mod makeup (think EDIE SEDGWICK or Twiggy).

Please also suggest easy updo styles for shoulder length hair.

Thanks so much!

i think what your thinking for make up will do very nicely.

Homecoming Advice?

1. Depending on what part of the country you are in, you should wear a shrug or shawl.

2. I would wear a black 5" patten leather, closed toe high heels. You don't want to wear a shoe that is too busy because your dress should take center stage.

3. As for your hair, I would take a straightener to it. Smooth and sliky.

4. Don't go too heavy on the black eye liner because with the false eye lashes it will already make your eyes look lined on top. Then I would line the bottom with black but only do it half way. This will make your eyes look bigger. If you line your eyes completely, it will make your eyes look smaller than they are.

5. Your foundation should be light, but smooth looking without looking too thick. Your lips should be like a sand color, just a little color, not use lip gloss, too messy. You should wear a blush that is the same color as your lips.

I hope this helped. I have been doing makeovers for years. Plus I have a ton of teen girls that I do their make-up for senior pictures and special events.
