I'm tired of having an afro. I really want a hxc hairstyle but i'm not sure if my hair can be styled that way. Does anyone know of any black people with emo hairstyles?

No I don't, but it would be cool. Give it a try, hair can always be changed.

I have seen it a couple of times on Blacks, so I know it can be done. Find a shop that does that type of style. Someone will be able to help you.

I wouldn't say Emo for your hair unless you have it chemically straightened. Emo styles are generally a bit softer, very straight and they tend to hang over the face. You'd be better off with HxC because those usually have more spikes and angles in the hair. Two very different styles, not to mention Genres....

yes I see it done I think you have to get a perm or something permanetly straighten.

I had heard of Emo for a while before I actually looked it up and saw some pics. Just relax you hair or get a straight weave. Or...put a twist to it and rock some brightly colored dreads.
